Bluebloods : Inglis Sydney Classic
VARIETY is the spice of life it is said, and variety is just what Barador Stud is providing at the Inglis Classic Sale with four well related yearlings by different and appealing stallions. There are colts and fillies by the VRC Derby-Gr.1 winner Benicio (More Than Ready), the four times international Gr.1 winner Grandera (Grand Lodge), the dual Gr.3-winning sprinter/miler Magic Albert (Zeditave) and the Ming Dynasty-Gr.3 winner Dane Shadow (Danehill). Lot 55 is a bay colt by Magic Albert from Final Waltz (by Danehill) and is bred on the same Zeditave/Danehill cross as the stakes winners Kakakakatie, Al Be Nimble, Meurice, La Famelia and Illuminates. This son of one of Australia's most consistent stallions is a half-brother to the dual stakeswinning mare Hairy. Line-bred to the champion stallions Bold Ruler and Ribot and to the excellent mare Boudoir II, he is out of a three-quarter sister to the Listed winner Danasuria out of a half-sister to the stakes placed six times winner Yorick. Other members of this family include the northern hemisphere stakes winners Wooton Rivers, Magellano, Frisky Thunder and Port St Mary. Lot 72 is a brown colt by Dane Shadow from Fuji Omamori (by Fuji Kiseki). He is bred on the emerging Danehill/Halo cross, he is the first foal produced by a winning daughter of the dual Listed winner Charming Lass - half-sister to stakes winner Winona. Dual Group-winning sprinter Sovereign State is also related to this colt, who boasts duplications of the influential mares Almahmoud, Tudor Gleam and Sans Tares. Lot 381 is a bay filly by Grandera from Wuji (by Northern State). By a globe trotting champ, out of a dual-winning mare who has already produced three winners including the Gr.1 placed Zenarta and the prolific Philippine galloper Heroics - winner of no less than 23 races! The Gr.1 mare Danarani also hails from this family as does the Champion Irish 2Y0 Danzatore. Bred on a 5mx3m cross of Northern Dancer. Lot 480 is a bay colt by Benicio from Cara Cara (by Gulch). His VRC Derby-winning sire is making an encouraging start to his stud career and this fellow is a half-brother to four winners including the Gr.3 placed Fuzzy Cuzzy and the metropolitan grade gallopers Former Golden (Italy) and White Nights (South Africa). Dam is a placed half-sister to the US stakes winners Ironman Dehere and Sneaky Quiet. He boasts a fascinating pedigree with duplications of the great stallions Northern Dancer and Mr. Prospector and the prolific mares Natalma, Almahmoud, Glamour and Hildene.
